CALL FOR PAPERS

Nested Nonlinear Micromechanical and Structural Models

A Minisymposium within the WCCM-VII 2006:

The 7th World Congress on Computational Mechanics

The Westin Century Plaza Hotel & Spa
Los Angeles, July 16-22, 2006

The aim of this mini-symposium is to provide a form for contributions in the areas of combined nonlinear micromechanical and structural models. Emphasis will be on integrating the nonlinear constitutive micromechanical models, with or without damage, at the structural level formulations. Examples include, but are not limited to:

1) Nonlinear micromechanical models of composite material
2) Integrated global/local structural-material modeling
3) Time effects at the microscale
4) Nonlinear finite elements of layered media with multiple scales
5) Computational damage and fracture mechanics with multi-scale features
6) High fidelity micromechanical models
7) Computational model for nano particles reinforced polymers

We are pleased to invite you to submit a 1-page abstract on any of the above areas of computational mechanics.

Abstract Format: The conference proceedings will consist of one-page abstracts. The abstract should include title, author(s), affiliation(s), email address (es), text and references. The abstract should be no more than one page in length, 12-pt. font, 1-inch margin on all four sides and the presenting author(s) underlined.

Deadline: The abstract should be electronically submitted no longer than November 15, 2005 at the following address: http://www.wccm2006.northwestern.edu/abstract_submission_choose.php?MSPID=144

An attempt will be made to solicit contributions from this minisymposium towards a special issue journal publication.

Important Date:

 1-Page Abstract submitted by: November 15, 2005
