Scratch Behavior on Polymers Consortium
(Scratch Behavior)
To develop a physics-based mechanical model and then establish a generic
structure-property relationship on scratch behaviors in polymers.
Research Scope
The objectives of the consortium include:
• Development of Test Methods
• Understanding the Mechanics
• Correlation to Materials Science
• Construction of a Physics-Based Scratch Model
Benefits of Membership
• The opportunity to guide consortium development and select thematic
research projects.
• Intellectual property rights, as described in the Member Agreement.
• Short course and symposia fees reduced by 50%.
• Resources for recruiting well-trained graduates through co-op/intern
programs and interaction with consortium personnel.
• Access to faculty, and to computational and experimental services.
